Sarah Schwab

Hometown: Cardiff by the Sea, CA

Born and raised in California, Sarah learned to surf at a very young age, tandem surfing with her dad on his longboard at the age of 5. Growing up she fueled her passion by surfing with her family every morning before school. She developed her competitive drive on her high school surfing team, and has gone on to build an impressive resume in competitive surfing, winning the Oceanside Longboard Competition two years in a row (2014-2015), and placing third in the 2016 Women’s College Shortboard NSSA.

Beyond being a competitive surfer, Sarah is quite the multi-talented woman. She is also an ocean water lifeguard, touring musician, sailor, welder and metal fabricator, and a college student studying Biochemistry. Whether she’s shredding waves, lifeguarding the beaches in Encinitas, rebuilding old cars, or singing, she loves to learn, and her stoke is contagious.

Favorite Sensi bikini?
All of them. I love that I can surf, ocean swim, prone paddle, and pretty much do anything in the water without thinking twice about my bikini staying put. I'm loving the one pieces right now!

What is the most daring thing you’ve ever done?
Playing music in front of crowds of people and becoming a lifeguard are the most daring things I’ve done. I’m always in the process of doing something that scares me. I love it.

Favorite place to visit?
My favorite surf trips are the local ones. Walking down to pipes with my family or friends is always a good little vacation. I love Malibu, San O, and Half Moon Bay.

Special talent
Calculus! I am really good at math.

Favorite food?
Anything from Mozy Café in Encinitas. Just go there, you won’t regret it.

Your dream?
Just to keep living my life the way it is. I wake up every morning and thank my lucky stars that my life right now is what I dreamed about as a child.

Coolest thing you’ve seen while traveling?
Green Flashes, breeching whales, and the way a wave looks while getting barreled.

Favorite way to stay fit?
Prone paddling and bike rides in the morning. I love working out with my friends because we push each other to run farther or swim faster.

Five things you couldn’t live without?
Surfboard
Sunscreen
Sensi Graves Bikinis
Music
My mom
