Keep A Breast X Sensi Graves Bikinis

Hi Friends,

I'm honored to share this promotion with you as it is near and dear to my heart. For the entire month of October we are donating 10% of sales of our PINK bikinis to the Keep A Breast Foundation. This means that anything you purchase in Birds o' Paradise, Prickly Pink, and Grapefruit will automatically go towards funding breast cancer awareness and prevention via Keep A Breast.

This is the first year Sensi Bikinis has partnered with Keep A Breast and we couldn't be more excited.

The reason for partnering with Keep A Breast is based on my personal story. When I was 16 years old, my Mother, then 54, died of breast cancer. As a 16 year old, I was in my own world. I was absorbed with my boyfriend, school and sports. My Mother and I had always been friends but I was a feisty, independent and closed-off teenager during that time. I never imagined that my Mom would die from the disease. Despite her 5'4" frame shrinking to 90lbs, despite her not being able to get out of bed in the morning, despite her golf-ball size tumors under her arm pits, I never imagined it would actually happen.

At 16, you're still a child. You feel invincible and it feels like your parents will always be there for you. I never confronted the impending death of my Mother until it actually happened. At which point, I crumbled. My world shattered and it felt like it would never get better. My Mother's health had deteriorated in the two short years since her diagnosis and finally she succumbed to the disease leading her family of 5, my three brothers and I broken and alone.

My personal experience drives my dedication towards helping others and combating this fierce disease. We've all had an experience with cancer. It's a terrible disease and I hope that we can lessen the number of young girls and women that have their mothers, aunts, grandmothers, and friends taken by it.

The Keep A Breast's foundation's mission is simple: to equip young people with breast health education early on in their lives.
