Welcome Francesca Bagnoli to Team Sensi!

Welcome Francesca Bagnoli to Team Sensi!

We're happy to announce the addition of professional kiteboarder Francesca Bagnoli to Team Sensi!

Hailing from Italy, Francesca started kiting in 2009 at the age of 15. She recalls that the hardest part of getting started was convincing her father, who is also a kite instructor, to start her lessons! Because she was tiny, he was scared she could fly away.

He must be happy with his decision, as Francesca's titles now include:

  • Vice Freestyle World Champion 2018
  • 3rd overall WKL 2017
  • 6x Italian champion
  • Vice European champion

Although entering the World Tour began as a struggle, Fran stuck with it, knowing she was able to land a lot of tricks, even if she wasn't stomping them in her heat. Francesca is a strong believer that "EVERYTHING COMES TO YOU IN THE RIGHT MOMENT." Now a super successful competitor, Francesca know that perseverance and dedication pay off!

We asked her to share a little about her life:

Favorite thing about your sport? Why are you passionate about it?

I love kiteboarding because it gives me adrenaline and pure happiness. Every time that I’m riding during sunset or sunrise, I realize that our word is beautiful and my heart is filled with pure joy and gratitude. Kiteboarding makes you feel very close to the nature because you become part of it.

Woman kiteboarderMost memorable travel experience/coolest thing you've seen while traveling?

The most memorable travel I’ve ever done is when I went to Egypt with the Duotone girls. I was very happy that 5 girls were involved in a project that could show that girls can do great things, that if there’s a wish there’s a will and that our sport is even better if shared with other amazing people.

Any special/secret talents?

I love playing guitar and singing even if I’m not that good (ahah).

Favorite way to stay fit?

I love surfing, kiting, doing yoga, roller blading, running and going to the gym.

What are your 2019 goals, and any big plans for this year?

I would like to train hard to make the gap in between the first and second place in the World tour smaller. I love competing, it gives me adrenaline and it helps me to stay motivated, and I hope next year to be on the Podium again! :)

Francesca will be taking over the @sensibikinis Instagram on May 28th! What do you want to ask her? Let us know!
