2015 marked the 10th year of the Triple S Invitational in Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. Competitors from around the world gathered for a week on the water. While past year's have shown all three disciplines, surf, slicks and sliders, for 2015, event organizers Trip Forman and Jason Slezak decided to bring it back to its roots. One week, all sliders. This would give riders more of a chance to ride the world's best slider park and progress the level of slider riding in the sport.
This year, 12 women were invited to compete. With $8000 in prize money for the ladies, all were eager to get on the water. It turned out to be a tough week with light winds in the forecast. Riders were able to get on the water a few times with light southerly winds but not enough to run the contest. One day of the correct wind direction, SW, provided an hour of ride time in which the whole slider park was out and riders were able to get a media free ride session in.
The very last scheduled day of the competition the wind started cranking early out of the North. We started heats at 10:30 am and were able to run all the heats through the slider park, ending the competition at 6pm. What a day! (Authors note: I was in my wetsuit for 8 hours that day).

Now the week is over and highlights and results are in. Sensi Bikinis team rider, Colleen Carroll took home 1st place and a cool $4,000! Yours truly walked away with 2nd place and Victoria Soloveykina from Russia took 3rd.
What a week! So proud of all of our girls who competed, laughed, charged and supported one another during the competition.

Our Team Sensi athletes are a huge source of inspiration for us: they're talented, dedicated, strong women who just plain get after it. And so we naturally wondered, what motivates them? We've asked them to share, and the result is this new blog feature: Stuff We're Stoked On. Pro windsurfer Sarah Hauser shares her list.
